ELEANOR M. IRWIN (BROWN)
Fell asleep on July 1, 2022 at home. Born on March 1, 1930 on the family farm in Glasgow, DE. She graduated from Newark High in 1947 and U. of D. in 1951 with a B.A. She went on to teach 1st grade in what is now the Christina School District. Married February 29, 1952 to F. Richard Irwin who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were parents Allan and Anna Brown, sisters Louise Brown, Marjorie Triutt, and Mary Ellen Biederman . She is survived by son Rick Irwin (Minnie),daughter Carol Shubert, grandchildren Tiffany Shubert and Spencer Irwin, and her brother Allan Brown (Linda), and brother in law Mick Biederman, along with nieces and nephews.
She was an avid reader of all things particularly the Bible which led to her being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in January 21, 1956, where she continued her love of teaching up to her death.
A memorial service will be given on Saturday July 9th @ 1:30 PM from the family home via Zoom. #867 8001 3636 Password Funeral
