Eleanor, age 97, of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013.
ELeanor retired from the DuPont Co. in 1975. She was a founding member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where she taught Bible School. Eleanor was a member of the DuPont Country Club where she enjoyed golf and tennis. She was also a member of the Wilmington and the Graham Senior Centers where she was Director of the Bridge Program and wrote a newsletter. Eleanor bowled in several New Castle County leagues. She enjoyed traveling and was a talented artist.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Bill D. Lingo in 1980. Survivors include her cousins, Frank Tolomeo and Helen Soltis.
Funeral services are private at Mt. Salem Cemetery.
