Age 79, of Newport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 22, 2010.
Mrs. Small was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Absalom Jones and Oak Grove Senior Centers. Mrs. Small enjoyed being a companion to the elderly in her younger years.
Mrs. Small was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard L. Small in 2000. She is survived by her children; Stephen L. Small of Newport, DE; Charlotte C. Small of Elkton, MD; and Gary R. Small of Bowie, MD; and her 8 grandchildren
Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Friday, August 27th at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 11am. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave and DuPont Rd.
The family suggests contributions in Mrs. Small's memory to Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Chapter, 2306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
