Elizabeth M. “Bette” Farra, age 91, of Wilmington, daughter of the late Charles Henry Davis and Josephine (Taylor) Davis, died on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
A 1947 graduate of Alexis I. Dupont High School, Bette was a secretary for the Dupont Company prior to joining the Red Clay School District as secretary for Heritage Elementary School. She retired in 1985. Bette was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Five Points Fire Company as President, Vice President, and Financial Secretary and served on various committees. She was also a member of Richardson Park United Methodist Church.
Bette was preceded in death by her son, Vaughn; her brother, Charles Davis; her sister, Frances Elrod and her companion, Victor Levering.
Survivors include her son, Charles N. Farra; her daughter in law, JoAnne Farra; her siblings, Erma D. Roberts, William P. Davis (Barbara), Edward L. Davis (Dolores) and Shirley Davis; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
Services and burial will be private.
