Age 91, a lifelong resident of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
Elvira was the daughter of the late Alesio and Josephine Baffone. She was retired from Electric, Hose and Rubber Company and was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.
Elvira was preceded in death by her husband A. Conway Yost.Survivors include her son, Alfred J. "Sonny" Jamarowicz;sisters, Viola Cleary and Margaret Gregg, brother, Alesio "Ben" Baffone; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10am, on Monday, February 15th, at St. Elizabeth's Church, 809 S. Broom St., Wilmington. Entombment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. Wilmington. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 14th from 3 to 5pm at NICHOLS-GILMORE Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport.
The family suggests contributions in Elvira's memory to either St.Jude's Hospital for Children, 501 St.Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
