Emette L."Buddy" Floyd, Jr., age 77, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Christiana Hospital surrounded by his family.
Emette served in the Army National Guard during the Korean War. He was a Webelos leader and cubmaster for the Cub Scouts, pack 21 at St. Matthews Church for 9 years. He retired from Wenner Ford Tractor of Chadds Ford, PA in 1992.
Emette was preceded in death by his son, Emette Floyd, III in 1994 and his sister Lucy E. Cartner in 2001.Survivors included his wife, of 55 years, Harriett; daughters, Suzanne Bibey & her husband David of Wilmington; Darlene Floyd of Holiday, FL; and Patricia Luby 7 her husband Namar of Winterpark, FL; his 5 grandchildren, Tina & Annette Grier, Candice & Louis Bingham and Tiffany Vazquez; and 11 great grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00am, Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Chapel in Gracelawn Memorial Park, N.Dupont Hwy.,
New Castle, DE, where friends may call at 10:00a.m.
