Emette "Buddy" Floyd, age 77, of Wilmington, DE. passed away peacefully, Saturday May 16, 2009 at Christiana Hospital surrounded by his family.
Emette served in the Army & National Guard during the Korean War. He was a Webelos leader & cub master for the Cub Scouts, Pack 21, at St. Matthews for 9 years.
He retired from Wenner Ford Tractor of Chadds Ford, PA in 1992.
Emette was preceded in death by his son, Emette Floyd, III in 1994 and his sister, Lucy E. Cartner in 2001. Survivors include his wife, of 55 years, Harriett; daughters, Suzanne Bibey & husband David of Wilmington;Darlene Floyd of Holiday, FL; Patricia Luby & husband Namar of Winterpark, FL; 5 grandchildren, Tina & Annette Grier; Candice & Louis Bingham and Tiffany Vazquez; and 11 great grandchildren.
