Age 92, of Wilmington, DE, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2009.
Esther was born and raised in County Cork, Ireland and came to the US in 1948. She was a homemaker.
Esther was preceded in death by her son, Scott Barr in 1990 and a daughter, Marie Eastburn in 1994 and her husband, Carroll Scott Barr in 1984.
Survivors include her daughter, Irma Barr-Heibeck of Wilmington and her son, John Barr(Pam)of Bear; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11am, Friday, May 1st, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 10am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE.
The family suggests contributions, in Esther's memory, to Delaware Humane Assoc., 701 A St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
