Esther Collins Smith, age 102 of Holden, MA, went to join her husband on Monday, December 21, 2015 in Wilmington, DE.
Esther taught elementary school in Holden for 33 years before retiring in 1975. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Worcester, MA where she and her husband prepared meals for the homeless. She was also a member of the DAR, Holden Garden Club and she loved to swim with the members of the Nereid Swim Club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, swimming and visiting her cottage in New Hampshire.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Richard Weaver Smith; her brother, Moulder Collins and her sister, Rosalind Neutz.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services and interment will be private. The Family suggests contributions in Esther's memory to First Baptist Church of Worcester, 111 Park Avenue, Worcester, MA.
