Eugene Ainsworth, Sr. age 79, of Wilmington, went to be with The Lord on Monday, January 29, 2018
Gene worked as a residential painter with his company, Eugene Ainsworth Painting. He also worked as a horse trainer in his early years in Florida, New Jersey and Delaware. Eugene was very active in Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, where he was a trustee. He was an avid fisherman who loved boating and various outdoor activities.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Beartrice Ainsworth and his brother, Elmer S. Ainsworth.
Survivors include his son, Gene Ainsworth (Lisa); his daughters, Sharon Ainsworth and Judy Weddle (Terry); his grandchildren, Judy Ellen, Tonya Marie, Alyssa Joyce and Michael John and his great grandchildren, Kate, Jayla and Beckham.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 6 at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 850 Mt Lebanon Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gene’s memory can be made to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 850 Mt. Lebanon Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
