Age 66, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on, Monday, March 16, 2009.
Gene was a sheet metal assembler for Boeing for 21 years before retiring in 2007; he also worked for Atlantic Aviation from the 1960's to the early 1980's. Gene was an Air Force veteran. He enjoyed visiting Delaware Park for many years and he loved cats.
Gene is survived by his wife, Sandra; sister, Janice Jezyk and her husband David; his sister-in-law, Delores May and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 4:00pm, Sunday, March 22, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, DE, where visitation will begin at 2:30pm. Interment will be the following day, 11:00am, Monday, March 23rd, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE.
The family suggests contributions in Gene's memory to the Delaware SPCA, P.O. Box 6067, Stanton, DE 19804.
