Of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009.
Van will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. Her family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Christiana Hospital, 5th floor and the staff at Heartland Hospice House.
Van is survived by her husband, Gene T. Meinhaldt; her son, Gary A . Meinhaldt and his wife Jennie of Port Deposit, MD; sisters, Lydia DePaoli and her husband John of Kennett Square, PA, and Ruth Grier & her husband Will of Newark, DE; and her grandson, Brandon Meihaldt.
Funeral services will be noon on Friday, January 23, 2009 at at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport, where visitation will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave., Wilmington.
The family requests contributions in Van's memory to Heartland Hospice House, 5661 Ochletree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
