Frances Sadler Hightman

Frances A. Sadler Hightman, age 81, of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

Fran was born in West Virginia to the late Troy and Oney Mitchem. She worked for Wiltex for 28 years followed by Strawbridge’s and Penny’s. Fran was a member of Kings Assembly of God. She was a committed Christian, a devoted mother, mom mom and sister. Fran enjoyed horseback riding, gardening and spending time with her family. She always made holidays a special time. Her passing leaves a huge void in our lives as well as all who were blessed to know her. Fran was a friend to many and always there for anyone in need.

Fran was preceded in death by her first husband of 46 years, Herman W. Sadler and her second husband, Lee Hightman.

Survivors include her sons, Donald (Eleanor) and Michael; daughters, Angela and Desiree; grandchildren, Emily, Aaron, Renee, Cassandra and Tyler; great grandchildren, Layla, Sahraya, Naseem and Nora; brother, Paul (Nan) and sister, Geraldine.

Funeral Services will be at 12 noon on Thursday, April 28 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Wilmington, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 11 am. Burial will be private.
