Francisco "Panchin" Taveras, age 68, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2016.
Panchin worked at City Hall in the Dominican Republic as a clerk and then at Chrysler for 30 years on the assembly line as a materials handler.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Panchin was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and attended the Helen Graham Support Group.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Auradelis and his brother, Jose Radames.
Panchin is survived by his wife of 2 years, Valerie, with whom he has been together with for 26 years.; his sons, Francis Taveras of Boston, MA, Juan Carlos Taveras of Atlanta, GA, Kavien Taveras of New Castle, DE, Carlin Taveras of New Castle, DE and Cory McMillian of Middletown, DE; his daughters, Connie Taveras of the Dominican Republic and Fresia Taveras of the Dominican Republic; many grand children and great grand children; and six brothers and five sisters in the Dominican Republic.
Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 11 am. Burial will be in the Dominican Republic.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Panchin's memory to the American Cancer Society for Multiple Mieloma.
