Age 82, of Wilmington and Broadkill Beach, DE, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 23, 2007.
Frank was a graduate of Hahunmann Medical College in 1951.He served his internship at the Wilmington Memorial Hospital and began his family practice in Richardson Park in 1952, retiring in 1989.
Frank is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 30 years, Elizabeth P.Baker;his 5 children by his former wife, Frances Wood Baker;Julane L. Ashanky, of Elkton, MD, Frank W. Banker, III of LaPlata, MD, Mari Ellen Ketchum of NC, William G. Baker, Sr. of Elkton, MD, and Christopher W.Baker of Newark, DE; 3 stepchildren, David W. Brownlee of Wilmington, DE;Linda C. Minker, Bear, DE and Sterling "Buck" E. Brownlee of Wilmington, DE; 18 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11am, Monday, March 26th, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, N.Dupont Hwy., New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10am. Burial will follow in the adjoining Memorial Park.
The family suggests contributions in Frank's memory to Alzheimer's Assoc., DE Chapter, 2306 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805.
