Frank J. “FJ” Tolomeo Jr., age 78, of Newark, died on Thursday, December 7, 2023, after a serious illness.
Frank was a 1963 graduate of Newark H.S. and then graduated from the University of Delaware. He worked as an engineer at Thiokol and also worked as the Maintenance Director at Genesis Health Care.
Frank was a very active member of Mill Creek Fire Company. He cared for birds and all wildlife and supported the Salvation Army. Frank especially enjoyed riding in his Ford Mustang.
Frank is preceded in death by his father, Frank Tolomeo and his mother, Alma C. Chambers.
Survivors include his four cousins, Carla Carey of Pennsylvania, Dorothy Snyder, Robert Lindley and Ralph J. Tolomeo, ESQ, all of New Jersey.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Mill Creek Fire Hall, 3900 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE 19808, where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Salem Cemetery, 2629 West 19th Street Wilmington, DE 19806.
