Age 88 of Wilmington, formerly of Lewes, DE, passed away on Wednesday, June23, 2010.
Fred was a member of the Granite-Corinthian Masonic Lodge #34 and the Five Points Chapter #13 Order of the Eastern Star. He enjoyed woodworking.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Ann Smith, in 2006. Survivors include his children, June Satterfield(John), Sharon Beavers (Roger)and Fred G. Smith, II; one brother, Richard E. Smith (Margie);his grandchildren, Jennifer Beavers Harris(Jeremy), John Henry Satterfield, Paul Satterfield(Becky), Scott Beavers (Holly), Brett Smith and Dane Smith; and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 7pm, Sunday, June 27th at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 6pm.
Burial will be noon on Monday, June 28th, at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Rd., Milton, DE.
The family suggests contributions in Fred's memory to Peniel United Methodist Church, 115 E. Market St., Newport, DE 19804.
