Gary was born in Wilmington on June 26th, 1951, and passed away peacefully on Saturday July 11th, 2015 in the presence of his loved ones.
A 1969 graduate of Conrad High School, Gary was an avid drummer and free spirit. Gary spent the last 25 years residing in Fenwick Island, DE where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends on his boat. To those he loved, he was known as “Captain Meatball”, a coffee milkshake lover who was fluent in pirate talk.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Margaret, and his niece Nicole. He is survived by his brothers Stephen and Richard, sister Laurie, his beloved niece Melissa, and several nephews James, Joseph, Simon and Jude.
A remembrance service will be held Saturday, July 18th 12pm-3pm at Minquas Fire Co. Newport DE.
