George W .Morrison, known to many as Willard Morrison, age 78, passed away April 20, 2008 with his family by his side. George was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
George was born in Newark, DE to Frank W. and Elizabeth A.(Davis) Morrison. He graduated from Newark High School and began a long career with Delmarva Power in 1949 retiring in 1992. George served in the US Air Force from 1950 through 1954. During his retirement years, George enjoyed wildlife photography, spending time at his beach house and eating breakfast at Mary's Country Kitchen with his brother-in-law and friend, Jim Russell.
George is survived by Caroline E. Morrison, his wife of 52 years; daughters Sandra James and her husband Tim of Wilmington, Michelle Yglesias and her husband Steve of Tampa, FL; his son David R. Morrison of Pike Creek; sisters Alice Clabaugh of Glasgow, and Linda Russell and her husband Jim both of Glasgow; 10 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions, in Will's Memory, to the Helen Graham Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Rd., Attention: Administration, Newark, DE 19713.
