Gerald William Kegerreis, age 56 of Wilmington “went fishing” on Saturday, August 26, 2017.
Jerry was a machinist in the Wilmington area and served in the United States Navy. He was a 1978 graduate of Delcastle High School and a member of the Polish Library Association. Jerry enjoyed fishing, crabbing, model railroads, collecting baseball cards, woodcarving, and hanging with his friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Adelia “Dee” and James “Big Jim” Kegerreis and his nephew Anthony Baez.
Survivors include his life partner, Carol Reese; his brother, James R. Kegerreis, Jr. (Denise Dillon); his sisters, Sharon Cole (Stanley) and Deborah Baiocco; his nephews, J.R and Elijah; his nieces, Jillian, Lyndsay, Hayley and Cassidy; and several great nephews and nieces.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1 from 2-3pm at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804. The family requests casual attire. Services and Burial will be private.
