Geraldine Elizabeth Garrett, age 84, formerly of Brooklyn, New York and Newport, Delaware passed away at home in Miami, Florida with her family by her side on Monday, May 6, 2019.
She was a proud registered nurse and was the parish nurse in both Newport and Miami. She also worked for hospice in Delaware and Florida.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Nelson “Thomas” Garrett and her daughter, Kimberly Garrett Geiss.
Survivors include her children, Debra, Catherine, Lori, Mark and David; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, August 28 at 2 pm at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private.
