Age 89, of Stanton, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012.

Mr. St.Amand was co-owner of M&J Television Service in Marshallton for 38 years, retiring in 1987. Earlier in his career he worked for National Radio Institute in Washington, DC.

Mr. St.Amand served in the Army with General Patton in Europe and the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church. He enjoyed Square Dancing with Circle Four and X 10's. He also enjoyed traveling.

Mr. St. Amand was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Laura L. St.Amand in 2003; his grandson, Scott St. Amand; and his sisters, Angela St. Amand of the Sisters of the Holy Cross; Rollande Messier and Theresa LeBlanc. Survivors include his children, Richard G. St.Amand of Elkton, MD; Doria B. Grimes of Annandale, VA; George O. St. Amand of Hockessin, DE; Emile R. St. Amand of Milltown, DE; and Luke H. St. Amand of Newark, DE; his brother, John St. Amand of Inwood, NY; his sister, Margaret LeBlanc of Newport, VT; his grandchildren, Juliette, Louis, Nicole, Janet, Douglas, Bernie, Shawn, Erika and Heather; and 7 Great Grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am, Saturday, February 18th, at St. Matthews Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Woodcrest. Visitation will be Friday, February 17th, from 5 to 7 pm at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington.

The family suggests contributions in Mr. St.Amand's memory to St. Matthews Church, 1013 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804.
