Age 62, of Newark, DE, passed away at his home in the presence of his family, on Wednesday, August 8, 2007.
Harv was a welder for many Wilmington companies, most recently Hallmark Steel. He enjoyed fishing, collecting baseball cards and researching his genealogy.
The family would like to thank the nurses on 6B at Christiana Hospital and Heartland Hospice for their special care.
Harv was preceded in death by 2 sons, Harvey, III and Olaf Costorf. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Christine; his daughter, Hazel Shortlidge & husband Donald of Newark, DE; brothers & sisters, Arlene Lunbeck & her husband Roger of Wilmington; Connie Wright & her husband Horace of Newark; Kenneth Costorf & his wife Julie of Newark; Bruce Costorf of Newark; and 3 grandchildren, Krystal, Kelly and Samuel.
Services will be Saturday, August 18, 2007, at 1:00 pm, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Harvey’s memory to, American Cancer Society, 92 Read’s Way, New Castle, DE 19720.
