Hazel passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
Hazel worked at the Delaware State Hospital for 21 years retiring in 1980 and with Christiana Care for 9 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of River of Love Church.
Hazel was a devoted mom and grandma who enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and was an avid reader.
The last of 13 children born to the late Eddie and Edna McClure, Hazel was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Marie Kane in 2008; her son Robert Allen Dillard in 1967 and her companion, James Parker in 2011.
Survivors include her son, Randall "Randy" Dilliard and daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Weidlein; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 AM on Monday, February 20 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Interment will be private.
