Age 89 of Newport, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at home in the presence of her family.
Helen was born on April 3, 1923 in West Virginia before moving to Delaware.
Helen worked at Greenbank Child Development Center for over 20 years where she was affectionately known as "Mom Mom". She was a long time member of St. Hedwig Church and lifetime member of the Pulaski Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Joseph S.Chudzik who passed aware in 2001; her brothers, William Archer and Stanley Duszak; and her sister, Dorothy Brode. Survivors include her children, Stephen Chudzik and his wife Eunice of Newport; Barbara Brice of Newark; Ginger Bright of Lewes; and Geraldine Kula of Newport; her brother, Frank Archer; sister, Eleanor Murphy; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11a.m., Wednesday, May 2nd at St. Hedwig Church, where visitation will begin at 9a.m. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery, Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington.
A special thank you to Eunice Chudzik and Kerry McElrone who served as her caregivers during her last illness.
