Age 96, of Prospect Park, PA passed into Glory Friday, November 12, 2010.
Helen was born May 3, 1914 in Northumberland, PA. Following High School in Shamokin, PA, she graduated from Pierce Business College, Philadelphia, PA and worked as an Executive Secretary.
She was married to the late Leonard Smith of Coal Township, PA a former Principal of Ridley North Junior High School. Helen and her husband enjoyed traveling. Helen was also an avid swimmer her entire life. She was a longtime resident of Prospect Park, having just recently moved to Foulk Manor North, in Wilmington, DE. She was an active member of Prospect Park UMC, having served as MYF coordinator; and was also a former president of Prospect Park Women's Club.
Helen is survived by a son, Robert Smith of Castle Rock, Co and a daughter, Carol Nickey of Glen Mills, PA; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 14th at Prospect Park United Methodist Church, Corner of Rt. 420 and 8th Ave., Prospect Park.
