Herbert L. Simpson, III, of Wilmington, formerly of South Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at his home.
Herb worked as a master carpenter for over 30 years. He was an animal lover, especially dogs, enjoyed woodworking, being a Mummer, and was an avid music fan from Rock to Bluegrass. Herb was devoted to his family and will be remembered for his kindness, sensitivity, and friendliness.
Herb is survived by his devoted wife, Debby, with whom he has shared the last 36 years; his mother, Eileen Johnson; his siblings, Joann, Gale, Marion, Rich, Beverly, Sandy, John, and Larry; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many beloved cousins.
Due to the regulations surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, funeral services and burial for Herb will be private for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Herb's memory may be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 600 South St, New Castle, DE 19720.
