Ida Pearl Sawyer, age 60, passed away with her loving son by her side on 07/11/23 at Christiana Hospital after a brief battle with lung cancer.
Ida was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her sons and grandbabies were her greatest gift in life. She was deeply loved by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanora and Lewis Miller, the love of her life, Bill Sawyer, brothers, Charles (Butch) Marshall, Martin Walls, Howard Walls, and sister, June Shiles.
She is survived by her sons, Billy Sawyer and Chris Sawyer, her grandchildren Lil Billy, CJ, and Cameron, sisters Betty Boyer, Rose Longacre, and Nancy Hermes (Scott), brothers, Robert Walls (Margie) and Joseph Walls and Aunt Ginger Babicki. As well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and great nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 2 pm at the Diamond State VFW, Post #2863, 8 S. Dupont Rd, Wilmington, DE 19804.
