Irma Rachel Spencer Edwards of Wilmington, DE, died at home Friday, January 5, 2007, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lillybrook, WV, Mrs. Spencer Edwards was an active member of the First Baptist Church of New Castle where she taught Sunday School for 29 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, James;4 children, Rebecca Miller of San Angelo, TX; Barbara Brewer of Lawton, OK; Tom Spencer of Santa Rosa, CA;and Lee Spencer, of Newport, DE.
Services will be Tuesday, January 9th, at 12:30 pm, at the First Baptist Church of New Castle, 901 East Basin Rd., New Castle where visitation will begin at 11:30 am. Burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Mrs.Edwards memory to the American Diabetes Assoc., Delaware/Eastern Shore office, Suite 1002, 100 West 10th St., Wilmington, DE.
