Jack Lee Alley was born in Charleston, West Virginia. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Newark, DE. He was 76 years old.
Jack was a disabled Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a devoted brother, a loving father, a passionate animal lover, and a caring friend. He enjoyed days at Delaware Park watching the ponies run, fishing with his boys, watching baseball games, singing and playing his acoustic guitar, but his favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by many.
Jack is survived by his son, Robert Lee Alley of Wilmington, DE; sisters, Joyce Alley-Harrison (Roudie) of Swedesboro, NJ, Rose Albano of Fredericksburg, VA, Frances Gay Giampaolo (Tony) of Goodyear, Arizona; and his beloved dog, Lucky.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (Steele) and Leff Alley, and his son,
James Conrad Alley.
A committal service will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE
(2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE) on September 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the Alley family asks that donations be made to Faithful Friends Animal Society.
