Of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2008.
Jackie's early life was spent in Wilkes-Barre, PA, before moving to Wilmington at the age of 5 years. Jackie was a bookkeeper and member of the Newark Moose Lodge for many years, and a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed family get-togethers, gardening, baking, cooking and loved animals, especially her two cats.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Lew C. Newcomer; her children, Ralph Jones, Karen Shields, Peter Bazzani, Kevin Bazzani and Julie Webb; 12 grandchildren, Ralph, Jr., Bobbie Jo, Kimberly, Necie, Gina, Kevin Jr., Stephen, Kelly, Zachary, Gage, James and Zoey; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11am, Friday, November 21st, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 10am. Interment will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Jackie's memory to the American Heart Assoc., 1501 Casho Mill Rd., Suite 1, Newark, DE 19711.
