James McGonigle Sr, age 63, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021.
Jim worked as a general contractor for many years and was still actively working. He enjoyed landscaping and watching sports. Jim loved family reunions, BBQ’s and spending time with his grandkids.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Florence and his brothers, Bob Sr, George, Michael, and Paul.
Survivors include his children, Christine M. McGonigle (James Johnson), James McGonigle Jr (Michelle Bravo) and Nicole Lynn McGonigle (Trevor Parham); his grandchildren, Taylor and Chloe Johnson; his granddog, Ali; his sisters, Maryanne Lester and Jane Whaley; and his brothers, Dave McGonigle (Holly), Tom “Mugs” McGonigle and John McGonigle.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 to 2:30 on Wednesday, February 24 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804. Masks must be worn and social distancing enforced along with a capacity limit in the funeral home.
