James Paul Tindilia, age 65, of Wilmington former resident of Harford County, MD, born in Beckley, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019.
Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He was a USAF Vietnam Veteran. Paul worked for 25 years as a chemist for Lever Brothers/ Sun Products before retiring in 2014. He also worked as a Meadow Docent at Longwood Gardens. Paul was a craftsman, tinkerer, storyteller, music lover and nature lover. He sought to help anyone and never met a stranger. He practiced meditation and walked a spiritual path.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Vergil Emmet Tindilia and Betty Jo Kelly.
Survivors include his loving wife and partner of 12 years, Diane Tindilia; his children, Christopher Tindilia, Caela Tindilia, Sarah Chambers and Kate Nelson; his grandchildren, Leland Guest and Finley Chambers; daughter in-law Brittany Chapman and his sons-in-law, Raymond Chambers and Jason Guest.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 3, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private.
