Woody passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016.
Woody was a graduate of Howard High School. He then served in the Army as well as the Army Reserves. Woody worked in the Steel Industry at Marcus Hook.He enjoyed sitting in with area bands playing conga drum and singing Temptations songs.
Woody was preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Molly Terry; parents, Edward and Mary Ella Wood; daughter, Tomiko Butcher; brother, Edward Wood Jr. and sisters, Mary Ellen Wood and Zello Wyatt.
Woody is survived by his daughter, Nechele Butcher and her mother, Bonnie Brown; brothers and sisters, Calvin Woods, Rose Anthony (Thomas Seeney), Renee Brown (Jerome)and Bennie Mae Demby (Alex); grandsons, Daniel, Jashawn and Trevon Hunter and great grandson, Elijah Hunter.
Services will be at 1 PM on Friday, November 4 at the chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
