Jayne Calvetti

Jayne A. Calvetti, age 89, of Wilmington, formerly of Somerset County, New Jersey, where she was one of 10 children to the late Abram and Grace Covert, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Jayne was blessed to be able to be a homemaker. She attended First Assembly of God and was a part of the Wednesday Women's Group and the Women's Prison Ministry. She enjoyed painting, puzzles, singing hymns, flowers and plants.

Jayne was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Frank A. Calvetti in 2018.

Survivors include her children, Frank Calvetti (Betty), Cheryl Scott (Bob) and Jim Calvetti (Michele); sister, Josephine Wedderman; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Jayne's family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and caregivers at Paramount Senior Living, Bayada PT/OT, and Compassionate Care Hospice. While residing in Memory Care, Jayne enjoyed many activities including crafts, playing Bingo (which she often won), and singing songs and hymns along with the other resident friends. Visitation will be 6-7pm on Thursday, April 4 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, April 16.
