Age 78 of Newark, DE, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at her home.
Along with dedicating her life to her family, Mrs. Butler was a sales representative for the Avon Company in the New Castle area for 25 years. As a member of the President's Club, she gained recognition as a lead sales rep in her district. A graduate of Chesapeake City High School, she was valedictorian of the class of 1949.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, George T. Butler who passed away in 1993 and her granddaughter, Erica Lee Butler in 2004. She is survived by two daughters, Carol S. Crawley and husband Monty A., Sr. of Newark, DE; and Robin L. Butler of New Castle, DE; 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; grandson, Ryan M. Crawley his wife Janette and their children, Ryan-Alexis, Damien, Taylor, Breanna-Carol and Kayleah of Newark; granddaughter, Alicia N. Stucky her husband Spencer and their children, Mary and Matthew Stucky of New Castle; grandson, Monty A. Crawley, Jr. his wife Catherine and their daughters, Calista and Danielle of Bloomville, NY; and Lucaas Butler-Reilly, son of the late Erica Butler and Michael Reilly of New Castle, DE.
A memorial service will be 11am, Saturday, May 22nd at The Journey Church in Newark, DE. Interment will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Mrs. Butler's memory to The Journey Church, 723 Dawson Dr., Newark, DE.
