John W. Brown, Jr “JB” age 77, of Wilmington Sunset on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
JB retired after many years as a truck driver for DeSeta Construction. He was educated in the Wilmington Public Schools. JB was very artistic and enjoyed singing, drawing and carpentry. He enjoyed fishing in the Brandywine.
JB was preceded and death by his mother and father, John and Mildred Brown; his daughter, Tomiko Butcher and his sisters, Margaret Brown and Phyllis Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Bonnie Brown; his daughter, Nechele Butcher; his siblings, Charlotte Brown, Sandra Brown Henry and her children, Tony Brown, Tyler Henry, and Terrance Henry, Terrance Brown (Vickie), James Brown, and Michael Brown and his children, Milz Brown and Londyn Brown; his grandchildren, Daniel Hunter, Jayshanw Hunter, and Trevon Hunter; and a host of extended family including the children of his late sister Margaret, Kayce and Phyllis and his best friend, Clarence Brisco.
Funeral Services will be at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 4 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Attendance will be limited based on the current COVID19 requirements and masks will be required.
