John A. Devenney Jr.

John passed away on 2/11/21 after a long stay in the hospital.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John A Devenney Sr. and Ellen E Devenney (Kaighn), his sister Diane Spencer and nephews, Larry Day Jr. and Kyle Spencer. Leaving behind his sister Mary Ellen Allen, niece Dawn O’Connor (Ken), nephew Shawn Spencer (Summer) and his beloved cat Whiskers.
John grew up in Newport, Delaware. He attended Conrad High School. John was a talented drummer starting from a young age. He performed on the Lawrence Welch Show as a young boy. He continued his passion by traveling around in several bands. He played with “Little El”, an Elvis impersonator for a time.
John was heartbroken after losing his sister Diane and nephew Kyle in the last year. We believe that he is at peace and reunited with his loved ones.
