Age 89, of Wilmington, DE. God took Johnny home on Saturday, October 19, 2013.
Johnny was the son of the late Harry and Mary Gural. He retired from Spence Security. Earlier Johnny worked as a welder for Electric Hose and Rubber. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Air Force. Johnny enjoyed horses, watching pro-football and spending time at Widwood, N.J. with his family.
Johnny was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 49 years, Anna in 2012; his sisters, Rose Diorio and Anna Van Denbrack; and his brother, Wes Gural. Survivors include Darla Brice, Calvin Brice (Linda), Virginia Oakes, Thomas Oakes and his loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 29 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. & DuPont Rd.
Johnny's family wish to acknowledge the staff of Brandywine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Barbara Brice for their care to both Johnny and Anna.
The family suggests contributions in Johnny's memory to the Arthritis Foundation Medical Society of DE, 900 Prides Crossing, Suite C111, Newark, DE 19713.
