John C. Ivers, age 88, of Wilmington, formerly of Weaverville, CA passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022.
Johnny was a Staff Sargent in the Airforce and a member of the American Legion. He retired after over 25 years at UPS. Johnny was a member of the Elks Club in Redding, CA and the Moose Lodge and Order of the Eagles in Tacoma, WA.
Johnny was known as a kind man that had no prejudices. He enjoyed dancing and current events. He had a great sense of humor and was a delight to be around. Johnny was loved by all.
Johnny was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Ivers and sister, Blanche Faulkner.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ivers; son, David Ivers; step-daughter, Renee Bugel (Tami Broxson); stepson Michael Campisi (Michelle Posnikoff); step granddaughter Rachel Tompkins (Aaron Tompkins); step granddaughter Sarah Ehlers; and great grandchildren, Abigail Tompkins and Kevin Tompkins.
A memorial service will be held at a different date.
