Age 63, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2007.
John worked for many years for H&R Heating and AC, Inc. He was a long time member of St. Matthew's Church. John enjoyed taking his 1971 El Camino to car shows with his good friend, Rodney Husfelt.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Stefan and Hedwig Lewandowski and his brother, Eugene Lewandowski.
Survivors include his children, Tammi M. Bennett of FL; John E. Lewandowski, Jr., of Middletown, DE; Poppy J. Granite and Heather C. Lewis, both of MD; sisters, Barbara A.Jackson & Helena Richardson, both of Wilmington, DE; and 10 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, Friday, May 18, 2007, at St. Matthew's Church. Visitation will be from 10:30 am ybtuk 12:30 pm, on Friday, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport. Burial will be at Cathedral Cemetery, Lancaster Ave., Wilmington.
The family suggests contributions to, St.Matthew's Church, 1 Curtis Ave., Wilmington, DE 19804.
