John passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015. John served in the National Guard in the 1960's and for the past 35 years he has been a Real Estate Appraiser.
John was preceded in death by a grandson, Sean Pietuszka and a brother Kevin Pietuszka. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann Pietuszka; children, John S. Pietuszka (Heather), Dana Veasey (Ben), Debra Hazewski (Steve), Mark Pietuszka (Kelly) and Bruce Pietuszka; 15 grandchildren and 3 siblings. John was a Foster Father for over 40 years, helping to raise over 100 children.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 22 at St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 2503 Centerville Rd., Wilmington where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions in John's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Delaware Branch, 100 W. 10th St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
