John A. Stare age 70 of Middletown, DE, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006.
John grew up in Hummelstown, PA and enjoyed his classmates & friends. After graduating from Aviation Cadets as a commissioned officer and pilot, he entered the USAF, flying various aircraft. He retired as a Major from the Air Force. He enjoyed building & flying R/C airplanes. John was also AVP of Dist.4 of the AMA. He enjoyed a challange and would take projects to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, of 49 years, Shelby Stare; 2 sons, Gregory A. of Bear and John E. of New Castle, DE; 2 daughters, Debra J. Williams of Raleigh, NC and Susan E. Schultz of San Jose, CA' 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 brothers, Robert H. of Tampa, FL and Ronald L. of Brandon, FL.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests contribution in John's memory to the Delaware R/C Club, 125 Phyllis Dr., Newark, DE 19711 or First State R/C Club, 2908 Mattahoon Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808.
