Joseph S. DeMaio, age 56 from Newark, DE and formerly from Delaware County, PA. Joe passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on Wednesday May 12, 2021.
Joe also called “Joey” was a business owner for the past 35 years. Former owner of 3 J’s Tire in Swarthmore, PA and now currently called A&A Discount Tire & Auto Service Center in Wilmington, DE. Joey had a love for cars and was a classic car collector. He loved doing yard work and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed spending time in Wildwood, NJ, watching movies and spending time with his family.
Joe is preceded in death by his mother Donna J. DeMaio and sister Leesa DeMaio. Survivors include, partner Karen Cosgrove, his children Angela Ferraiolo(Mark), Lauren DeMaio, Joseph M. DeMaio Jr.(Steph), Sam DeMaio(Shawn), Aiden DeMaio and Ashley DeMaio. Father Joseph M. DeMaio Sr., sister Michelle Caldwell, brother Jay DeMaio (Trina) and his 9 grandchildren, Olivia, Juliana, Ella, Joe-Joe, Zooey, Giavonna, Riley, Cameron and Carter.
Visitation starts at 2 PM on Monday, May 24, 2021 with memorial services following up at 3 PM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis Street Newport, DE 19804. Burial private.
