Joseph E. Durham, age 73, of New Castle, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017.
Joe was the owner and operator of a trucking service for 40 years before his retirement in 2010. He loved his family. He enjoyed working on cars, especially his 1956 Chevy. He was a member of Country Memories and The Fugitives band where he played guitar and sang.
Joe was preceded in death by his son, Justin Ray Durham; his daughter, Susan Elizabeth Durham; his parents, Thomas and Miriam Durham; his brothers, Thomas R. Durham, James T. Durham; and his sister, Margaret E. Adams.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Terry A. Durham; his children, Joseph Durham, Jr, Thomas Richard Durham, Linda, Jamey Jo, and Randy Ford; his sister, Miriam Roberts; many grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, April 29th at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport, Delaware 19804 where visitation will begin at 11 am. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd at GRACELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 2220 N Dupont Hwy, New Castle, DE 19720
