Joseph Zugie, age 66, of Elsmere, formerly of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 7, 2021.
Joe was a graduate of Wilmington High School. He was an Army Veteran and worked for Crowell Corp for many years. Joe was a member of the West End Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed football.
Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Zugie on January 21, 2021 and his parents, Anthony and Sophie Zugie.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Margaret Zugie; his step children, James McGonigle (Lisa), Michelle Clark (Mike) and Michael McGonigle; 10 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandson.
Funeral Services will be at 1 pm on Saturday, March 13 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Burial will be private. Masks and social distancing will be required along with a capacity limit in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr, Wilmington, DE 19804.
