Joshua G. “Josh” Craig, age 45, of Newark, formerly of Newport, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Josh graduated from William Penn High School in 1978. He worked in the Tire Department at BJ’s on Route 13. Josh loved the Philadelphia Eagles, his nieces and nephews and his dog, Enzo. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing video and RPG games, especially Dungeons and Dragons.
Josh is preceded in death by his father, William Craig and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Thelma Murphy.
Survivors include his mom, Leslee Craig; his brother and half-sister; and his girlfriend, Christine Hambleton; a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on September 6th at Nichols – Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 10:00am. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Gracelawn Cemetary.
The family would like to thank the staff at the ICU 3E at Christiana Hospital for their compassionate care.
