Karen L. Hesser Blair, age 68, of Delaware City, formerly of Wilmington Manor, lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
Karen was a 1966 graduate of William Penn High School before beginning her career as a hairdresser for 46 years, working mainly at the JC Penny’s Styling Salons in Prices Corner and the Christiana Mall.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, and watching movies.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother and father, Betty Hesser and Kenneth Hesser.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty L. Blair and Joanna Elechko; her brother, Kenneth C. Hesser; three nephews and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, where visitation will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private.
