Age 72 of Newark, formerly of Rocky Point, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2011.
Ken was an Operating Engineer for Local 542 for over 30 years before retiring in 2000. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Stanton. Ken owned and trained Standard Bred racehorses and was a member of USTA. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing guitar and studying the Bible.
Ken was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray and Ronny. He is survived by his wife, of 49 years, Nan Holdren; his daughter, Barbara Lineweaver(Daren); his grandchildren, Sharon Jarman(Tommy; and David Lineweaver;his brother, Roy Holdren; his sisters-in-law, Jeanette and Mildred Holdren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 30th from 6 to 8 p.m.at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E.Justis St., Newport, DE. Services and burial will be held in Buchanan, VA.
