Age 73, of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, in the presence of his family.
Goody retired from Shellhorn & Hill in 1992 after 37 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Joanne, in 1998. Goody is survived by his children, Leslie L. Goodchild, Jr.(Sheila), Michael A.Goodchild (fiancee Melanie), Linda L. Zugehoer(Paul)and Tracy Melson(Steve)and his 10 grandchildren, James, Nicholas, Amanda, Bradley, Jennifer, Brittany, Dakota, Dalton, Kierney and Steven.
Funeral Services will be 2 PM on Saturday, February 5th at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 1 PM. Burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Goody's memory to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Rd. Wilmington, DE 19810.
